For the third evening in the Lazy Bear 2026 Summer Series, one of our favorite parts of a Northern California summer, tomatoes have become an iconic Bay Area ingredient! Ripe, sweet, dry-farmed, and full of umami, we salivate at the mere thought of these things all year long. We concentrate their flavors by smoking, drying, curing, or otherwise preserving, or else serve them raw. The variety of tomatoes, from farms like Tenbrink, Lonely Mountain, Dirty Girl, and Toscano & Sons, provides a constantly evolving set of inspirations for our summer menus.
For this dinner our chefs will explore Bay Area tomatoes throughout the course of a unique tomato tasting menu. Look out for a few Lazy Bear classics!Optional beverage pairings are available. Pairings that may be outside of the norm to include wine, spirits and/or beer to specifically tailor to this spotlight ingredient. Our zero-proof progression will be an extension and different perspective on tomato and its compliments as well if you so choose.
